Concord C1 Quantum Gravity Tourbillon Celebrates The Sci-fi Spirit
The spirit of sci-fi has been very appropriately transformed into a timepiece that goes by the name of Concord C1 Quantum Gravity. A Tourbillon watch, it is a rather simple one too but with an appearance that will give you the impression of the most complex mechanisms.
In the time of new watches coming up every second day, the success of one totally relies on novelty. And by that benchmark, this one is a resounding success. With a large 48.55 mm wide titanium case that goes 22 mm deep, this watch is massive. The rather larger-than-life interface helps enhance the colors and complexities of the display. Then it is unique with a perpendicular power reserve that is an amalgamation of verticality and fluidity. Even the dial of the watch has been done away with to make way for the mobile glass column, located between 12 and 1 o’ clock, which works as a power reserve with a vertical indicator.
The overall wrist footprint is an impressive 57mm. But the good news is that the Concord is very much wearable owing to its flexible rubber strap. Developed by the C Lab series, this watch will work well because of its unconventional looks.
