Every Drop Counts: Grab This, To Save Water, Earth, Yourself
Oh yes, we do need to save water, for saving the earth, for saving the forests and ourselves. But not all of us have that moral courage to practice what we are good at lecturing, not the least when we step under that shower and feel the freshness and forget the saving bit in an instant. Every Drop of Water Counts. The makers of a new product that is more important than probably the diamond jewellery you are planning to buy have named their product just as perfectly: Every Drop Counts Water Meter.
The Water Meter, is actually a device, a clocker, that meters your water usage. Meaning, it will not just meter the water used from your faucets, but also detect running, dripping and leaking pipes that can dry up the tank soon.
How does it work? The meter is secured on to the pipe, does not obstruct water flow within the pipe in any way. It is easy to fix, and automatically relays all related information to a detachable display.
What you get to know, is how much water you have used, where you are using it, and also, the water temperature of tap water.
Obviously, designer Ulrik Svenningsen had a noble and earth friendly thought when he designed the meter, for he says how, European cities can cut their water use by at least 20 per cent in a few years if they are careful. The water meter also apparently has advantages over conventional water meters.

Renault E0: Dream of this Eco-Friendly Concept Car
It is a good thing to dream. And dream is noble if it is an eco-friendly world at that, where everything a human does goes a step further in helping positive climate change. Renault E0, a new concept car furthers that dream.
Amazing for its aesthetic looks and features, its name E0 apparently indicates zero emission. This car is meant to be different from the other cars, for its aim at fuel use. It will have a battery charged by the solar panel it is designed to carry, whenever possible. The car has four seats and designed with an obvious futuristic purpose. The four-wheeler has however, also been designed in two different platforms, wherein, one has an electric charging mechanism, and another one includes fuelling by liquid hydrogen and electric combustion.
The body’s main constituent is reportedly aluminium, alongside other light weight materials. Although meant for four, the dreamer’s have used a simplistic framework for the car. It reminds you of today’s sports cars too, for the design is more or less curvy. One only wishes the concept car becomes reality soon, and an affordable one at that.

A Music-System For the Blind
But for the signages that one sometimes comes across at public places or Braille and audio books at charities, it is hard to find products specially designed for the differently abled and visually impaired. Take heart, there is at least one product that is now dedicated to the blind or even the partially blind.
It is a stereo that uses an interface that reacts to the user, while it hides the controls flush with the face when it is not needed. A visually impaired user can start by moving her or his hands on the surface of the stero and will soon find an elevated rubber edge that encircles the control panel.
The listener can then press the glowing power button located in the centre of the volume knob. The button glows – one for radio, another for the CD player and the third for MP3 player or other audio device. The advantage here: each button rises from the stereo surface about one eighth of an inch. A few of primary functions of the stereo use Braille and all controls are voice guided. Each button that you press has an accompanying voice to confirm it.
The stereo has been designed by Danke Dieter who took into consideration blind-friendly technologies such as JAWS, VoiceOver and the good old Braille.

Pullman Paris Bercy’s Hotel Room Of The Future
When it comes to living the good life, the rich are the ultimate at it. Pullman Paris Bercy’s hotel room is furnished with and reeks of such uber luxury that even a seemingly rich person would be cautious about stepping in.
Pullman Paris Bercy’s hotel room is what Diana Plater describes as the hotel room of the future. The enormity of the luxury within is physically palpable before you even enter the room for access to the front door is done via a mobile phone. This is done with a special technology currently available only on Samsung phones, though the service would be available on other phone within three years, according to Accor Hotels. Once inside, one may lose himself at the sight of the 1.2m thin television that seems to hang midair and provides you with perfect visual plus 5.1 surround sound.
Designed by Natacha Froger, the Pullman Paris Bercy’s room is still at the conceptual stage. Other rich frivolities available in the room are a Bartech ice cube bar with Nespresso machine. Le Corbusier style desk, oversized shower with adjustable spray and lighting, and technical add-ons heighten the extravagance. A touch sensitive remote would also control everything within the room.

BeWAW: The Newest and Sleekest of Velomobiles
When a velomobile passes by, you gawk, not just look. The super-light automobiles are a treat to watch, and drive if you ever do get the chance.
Known for their eco-friendly quality, they are anywhere a cross between a Formula One car, a two-wheeler and a sheltered three wheeler. WAW Velomobiles have been just that famous too, known for their stylish mobility in personal movement use. BeWAW that is around the corner, by Fietser, is one of those variations of WAW Velomobile, in liaison with the Bries concept that was being developed.
The light-weight vehicle, that you may vaguely call a two wheeler, is propelled by its load, the rider or a combination of human and electric power. A lithium ion battery is hidden away under its seat. This version has most great features that WAW had: the separable nose and tail, the narrow wind profile, agile steering and sexy shape.

It also has a carbon top with some ad space. A detachable carbon fiber and polycarbonate canopy protects the rider from harsh weather. Another attraction about BeWAW is that it has a much reduced weight, of less than 30 kilos, which its makers say, can be brought down to about 24 kilograms, with finer components.
