The famous Prince Charles has been generous enough to donate parts of his Aston Martin to raise money for charity. The deal is that a set of cufflinks have been made from the cap scraps. Pistons actually, which were removed from the Royal member’s va va vroom. The cufflinks have an 18 carat gold finish.

This little venture has served several purposed. Firstly, it puts Prince Charles in a good light which is a rare happening. Second, it’s all for a good cause. And thirdly, it encourages recycling. So far only 200 cufflinks have been crafted by TMB ArtMetal. Each of these have been made to resemble the DB6 and the car’s iconic wheel spinners.

Let us remind you that this is not one of a kind venture. Last year, we reported how aluminum parts from an Aston Martin belonging to Carroll Shelby was used to make cufflinks. The 18 carat gold cufflinks are priced at £995 with all the proceeds going to the Prince’s youth charity -The Prince’s Trust. The org’s rep was heard saying that the youth have been worst affected by the recession and the Prince is hoping to help them out in their tough times.
