The Takashimaya store in Shinjuku has stalled a Digital cosmetic mirror which can accurately predict the suitable shade of beige for your face.
This unconventional method used by the Takashimaya store allows customers to test make-up without having to try it on. The customers have always complained about this mode of cosmetic selection as it exposes their vulnerable skin to the uncountable-times-used testers. This technology will put an end to all the grievances of the customers. It has been employed by the Shiseido, it scans your face, traces all the major contours and the skin tone and allows you to test any shade of the cosmetics they have in the store. You not only get customized suggestions, but also a take away print out of it.

Prince Charles Donates Parts Of His Aston Martin To Make Cufflinks For Charity
The famous Prince Charles has been generous enough to donate parts of his Aston Martin to raise money for charity. The deal is that a set of cufflinks have been made from the cap scraps. Pistons actually, which were removed from the Royal member’s va va vroom. The cufflinks have an 18 carat gold finish.
This little venture has served several purposed. Firstly, it puts Prince Charles in a good light which is a rare happening. Second, it’s all for a good cause. And thirdly, it encourages recycling. So far only 200 cufflinks have been crafted by TMB ArtMetal. Each of these have been made to resemble the DB6 and the car’s iconic wheel spinners.
Let us remind you that this is not one of a kind venture. Last year, we reported how aluminum parts from an Aston Martin belonging to Carroll Shelby was used to make cufflinks. The 18 carat gold cufflinks are priced at £995 with all the proceeds going to the Prince’s youth charity -The Prince’s Trust. The org’s rep was heard saying that the youth have been worst affected by the recession and the Prince is hoping to help them out in their tough times.

This time the craftsmen have made use of Russian reindeer leather that was salvaged from a ship that sunk some 200 years ago. The precious and subsequently rare hides have been preserved pretty well ever since they were recovered by divers from the Danish brigantine ‘Metta Catharina von Flensburg’ that sank during a storm in Plymouth Sound way back in 1786.
The Russian reindeer leather skin in question has been tanned by using a very elaborate 18th century willow bark and birch oil process. The skins have been used to craft a great collection of handmade men’s accessories like belts, wallets, a wine carrier, show kit and Gladstone bag, which is shown above and will cost you $7,200. We liked the bag so much because it reminds one of the satchel that was used by well-heeled British hunters long ago.
